5 Cocktails Sure to Impress this Holiday Season

This holiday season it’s time to step up your game and take your cocktails to the next level.  Here are five awesome cocktails from some of the best bartenders around.

The Apple Claus

1 1/2 oz Four Roses Bourbon Small Batch

3/4 oz Apple Cinnamon Tea syrup

1/2 oz Lemon Juice

Dash of Angostura bitters

Shake and strain into a chilled coupe and top with sparkling wine (prosecco, champagne or Apple Cider.)

Garnish with an orange twist or apple slice.

The Cornucopia

1 1/2 oz Ardbeg 10-Year
1/2 oz Appleton Reserve Jamaican Rum
• .5 oz Ruby Port
1/2 oz pomegranate syrup
1/4 oz Creme de Violette
1/4 oz lemon juice
2 blackberries
1 Small handful of fresh thyme
Dried pomegranate

DIRECTIONS

Muddle blackberries and thyme in mixing pitcher. Combine and stir the rest of the ingredients. Strain into rocks glass on one iceberg-shaped cube. Garnish with dried pomegranate and thyme.

Hardy Sazerac

1/4 oz. Absinthe 

.5 oz. vanilla simple or one sugar cube

3/4oz Hardy VS Cognac  

2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitters 

dash of lemon oil (or lemon zest for garnish) 

Cranberry Kiev Mule 

1 part Nemiroff Original Vodka

1 part cranberry juice cocktail

2 parts ginger beer

1 tablespoon lime juice

Orange wedges, fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS 

Pour vodka, cranberry juice cocktail, beer and lime juice in a copper mug filled with ice. Gently stir to combine

Garnish with lime wedges, fresh cranberries and a sprig of fresh rosemary

PRONE TIGER

2oz Somrus

1.5oz Aged Rum

1oz Espresso

1oz Amaretto

Garnished with cinnamon stick or raspberries

Served in rocks glass

INSTRUCTIONS

Add all ingredients to shaker and shake with ice. Strain into a chilled rocks glass and garnish with cinnamon stick stirrer.
