Labor Day has come and gone, so it’s time for fall cocktails!
Summer is OVER!! Ok, not quite yet, but as fall approaches, it’s fun to start switching it up from the typical summery cocktails and ordering something a bit different. It’s not cold enough for heavy apple and pumpkin flavored drinks yet, so try a twist on the classic margarita, The Marguerite. Here’s what you’ll need:
1.5 oz Reposado Tequila
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
.5 oz Sherry
.5 oz Maraschino Liqueur
Mix all of the ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake vigorously for 5 seconds, strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass, top with a splash of soda water and garnish with a lemon twist or mint sprig.
This is definitely something you’ll want to go to a bar and order for your first try. If you love it, go ahead and invest in some decent sherry and maraschino liqueur for the home bar.
Have fun and drink responsibly!
