For those of you who aren’t feeling an ice cold Bud Light.
4th of July is often thought of as a beer-related holiday because of being outside in the sun, BBQ’ing. With the explosion of the craft cocktail world in recent years, why not try something new this year? Here’s a recipe we think you’re going to love…
Watermelon Mexican Mule
Although it has a different country in the title, different variations of the “Mule” have become some of the most popular cocktails in the US recently. Here’s what you’ll need:
2.5 oz Blanco Tequila (preferably something top-shelf to avoid a hangover)
.75 oz Fresh Watermelon Juice
.25 oz Simple Syrup or Stevia Extract
Mix these three ingredients into a shaker with fresh ice cubes, shake for 10 seconds, strain into a Collins Glass over ice.
Top off with Ginger Beer. Get an alcoholic version for an extra punch.
Garnish with a Watermelon Slice.
You can also add jalapeño for an extra kick!
