Valentine’s Day Gift Guide: Gifts for Every Couple

I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #JaredTimelessMoments campaign, sponsored by Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

It doesn’t matter if you have been with your significant other for three months or three decades Valentine’s Day is a big day for every relationship.  I have been with my fiancé for over three years now and each Valentine’s Day has been better than the last.  We have gone from flowers and chocolates to romantic getaways, and now, sentimental pieces that will last a lifetime.  Valentine’s Day is, and always will be, about showing appreciation for the people you love.  This V-day we’ve partnered with Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry to put together a gift guide for every type of love you may find yourself in.   At Jared, feelings are turned into jewelry. They are dedicated to helping their guests find or make the perfect piece to express the way one feels about their loved ones.

Breakfast in bed is always a good way to start the day!

Young Love

We all remember our first love.  When I was in third grade I made my grandma take me to the mall so I could buy a necklace for my “girlfriend” at the time.  I spent most of my allowance on my first Valentine’s Day gift.  When it comes to buying gifts when we are younger money can be a little tight.  It isn’t about how much you spend on a gift.  It is all about the fact that you made an effort to get something special and meaningful for the person you love.

I chose these three pieces for young love because they are all fun pieces that won’t break the bank.  With the triangle motif throughout the bracelet, necklace, and ring these work as a collection but are still a great gift on their own.

This was one of the first times my fiance took me to meet her parents. I think it went pretty well if I do say so myself.

New Love

Your first Valentine’s Day as a couple is always a big one.  When you’re in a new relationship everything is new and exciting, Valentine’s Day is no exception.  When you are looking for a gift you want to find something that makes a statement.  In my opinion, nothing makes a bigger statement than diamonds!  After all, diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

I chose this diamond ring, in yellow gold boasting a baquette diamond in the center with round diamonds on each side, and this sterling silver ring with glistening round diamonds tracing a V-shape in the center.  Both two rings are sleek and stylish and perfect for new love because, in my opinion, they can be worn every day.  And a ring that can be worn every day means the special someone that received it will always be thinking about you!

When you’ve been dating your significant other for more than 3 years you’re in that stage where you really need to start thinking about popping the question!  Now I’m not saying you need to buy an engagement ring for Valentine’s Day but when you’ve been dating someone for that long you need to make sure your gift reflects how you feel.  If you go with something classic and timeless she will be able to wear it today and for many years to come.

I like to think of this section as the things you wanted to buy your first love back in the third grade.  Back then, if it was pretty and shiny my girl deserved it no matter the cost.  And after dating me for the last three years my fiance certainly deserves all of these pieces! The diamond hoop earrings, in yellow gold, are classic and timeless, the pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring, also in yellow gold makes a statement without going overboard, and the yellow gold necklace with beautiful round-cut diamonds is so different and unique it is sure to get people talking.

This picture was taken about two hours before I popped the question!

All of my friends seem to have gotten married in the last few years.  One thing that I’ve heard from pretty much all of them is to be ready for all of the FIRSTS as a married couple.  Your first Valentine’s day as husband and wife is one of the big firsts you get to have to together.  When you are looking for that perfect gift its ok to go a little overboard for the woman you love.

I was able to find some amazing pieces at Jared to compliment the big occasion.  When I saw the LeVian natural sapphire ring, in vanilla gold, in person it just blew me away. The unique blue gradient from light to dark gives an already interesting piece that extra pop!  If your significant other prefers a more classic palette I would suggest the 2 carat Diamond Heart Necklace.  Nothing says “I love you” quite like a diamond necklace in the shape of the international symbol for love.  And last but not least, if gold is her favorite color, why not add some diamonds. This stylish diamond ring features two rows of sparkling round-cut diamonds over a wave of 14K yellow gold.

The view I’m looking forward to for the rest of my life.

Everlasting Love

My grandparents were together for over 55 years.  Love like that is a rarity these days.  I can only hope one day I can say the same things about my relationship with my fiancé!  When you have been together for that long finding a unique gift can be tough after 50+ Valentine’s Days. Luckily, Jared has so many great pieces to choose from.

I modeled this section after my Mom and my Grandma.  They both love their “bling” as they like to call it now. The LeVian Ombre Ring, showing a range of diamonds including chocolate diamonds on a strawberry gold band, is full of bling and the Diamond Bracelet strutting bezel-set round diamonds are definitely more my Grandma’s style. The mixed metals and larger size of the Diamond Necklace, sparkling bright with various sizes of round-cut diamonds and two-tone gold, and Diamond Ring, full of round and baguette diamonds and also in two-tone gold, are totally my Mom.
